Jeffrey Purtee, CPA
Jeffrey is a native of greater Nashville, growing up in the Antioch area where he attended Ezell-Harding Christian School. He graduated from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance and, while working, earned a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Strayer University. He passed his CPA exams in 2018 and opened his business, Purtee CPA.
Jeffrey met his wife, Laura, while at UT Knoxville at the Baptist Collegiate Ministry. They decided to marry, move to Nashville to begin their careers and raise a family. They have two young children and a crazy Black Lab, Dickel. They keep their family life balanced with church, business, baseball, football, and, most importantly, time spent with their siblings, cousins, great friends, and parents near and far.
Jeffrey began his accounting career as a cash-basis bookkeeper and small-business and individual tax accountant. The experience exposed him to the construction, real estate, and healthcare industries. He continued to hone his skills at another practice, working primarily as an accrual-basis bookkeeper, payroll administrator and corporate and individual tax accountant. He learned about the automotive sales and repair, insurance, restaurant and bar, and retail industries. Jeffrey is a member in good standing at the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA).
